COMPANY BACKGROUND 1975 to present

ECS Manufacturing, Inc., based in Briarcliff Manor, New York, started in 1975. It is now comprised of three subsidiaries for fabrication and manufacturing of technical products to industry, inclusive of technical ceramics and quartz for the aerospace, defense industries and diamond tools for wafer dicing for chip manufacturers.

1. East Coast Sales, Co., "ECS" (USA)  Established 1975 manufactures and distributes technical ceramics for the aerospace, defense, microwave, detection devices and aircraft industries. For more information, see our website, http://www.ecsceramics.com.
   
   

2. CQM Technology Sdn.Bhd., "CQM" (Malaysia)  originally established as DTI in 1989 that has now changed the name to CQM and expanded the manufacturing facility, which is now the prime fabrication, machining and CNC facility for Ceramics, Macor, GBM, Quartz, Speciality Plastics and Metals, that are used in many industries. All products are available through the ECS Corporate headquarters facility in New York, which is the center for distribution and additional manufacturing in New York USA. see our website, http://www.cqm.com.my

3. Semicon Tools, Inc., "STI" (USA) Established 1983 manufactures and distributes semiconductor products for the fabrication of chips and circuits for the semiconductor and electronics industries.  For more information, see our website, http://www.stidiamond.com

Having an established presence in Malaysia since 1989 gives ECS Manufacturing, Inc. complete manufacturing and distribution facilities for all of Asia, the United States and the rest of the world. This Malaysian presence is significant in that ECS Manufacturing, Inc. is a reliable and highly technical low cost source of supply.

ECS Manufacturing, Inc., the corporate holding company is a technical product group with an impressive client base. They sell their products to numerous Fortune 1000 companies in various industries such as Semiconductor, Electronics, Medical, Industrial, Energy, Aerospace Defense and Security, among others, throughout the world. The company has three operating divisions.

 1: EAST COAST SALES, INC. (ECS)  USA

ECS specializes in the value added fabrication with very close tolerances of high temperature technical ceramic, Zirconia and quartz products including speciality ceramics such as Macor, GBM, Vespel high temp plastics and also metals that are high purity for many varied applications in different industries, such as aerospace, jet engines, defense, security and detection devices. ECS also distributes other ceramic products which include machinable ceramics for special applications,ceramic high temperature adhesives, thermocouple tubing, rods, insulators and other types of laboratory ceramic supplies for research labs.

2: CQM TECHNOLOGY SDN. BHD.  (CQM)  Malaysia

CQM has a modern machine shop with USA and Malaysian trained, experienced workers, to support ECS and STI in New York for all the product lines of ceramic, quartz, metal and plastic products. A wholly owned subsidiary of ECS Manufacturing, Inc, CQM is the primary manufacturer of the diamond resin bond, dicing blades for STI distribution to North and South America and Europe. CQM sells direct to all of Asia.

3: SEMICON TOOLS, INC.(STI)  USA

A wholly owned subsidiary of ECS Manufacturing, Inc., STI’s product lines include diamond tooling such as hub and hubless diamond nickel and resin bonded dicing blade. These cutting tools have micron size diamond particles captured in a nickel metal or resin matrix to form a very small precision cutting edge made to very close tolerances. The diamond blades are used as the dicing/cutting saw blade for precision computer controlled dicing saws, needed in the electronic and semiconductor industries to cut and separate integrated circuits and discrete devices from processed wafers. The diamond blade is used primarily on all types of what are commonly termed “ Hard Materials, ” such as Silicon, GaAs (Gallium Arsenide), Sapphire, Alumina Ceramics, Quartz and Circuit Boards. Presently all the diamond tool products are manufactured by our JV partner in Taiwan except resin diamond blades, which are still manufactured by CQM Technology in Malaysia.

Complimenting the dicing blade line, Semicon Tools, Inc. with CQM and our JV partner in Taiwan manufactures other supplementary products including diamond scribing tools for cutting specialty coated glass such as mirrors and sapphire substrates for LED chips.

MARKETING STRATEGIES           

ECS Manufacturing,Inc. aggressively markets its products through direct sales,advertisements in trade journals, sales representatives, distributors, trade shows, telephone solicitations and the Internet.

The high technology manufacturing and fabrication subsidiaries of ECS, STI and CQM are all very important and supportive to each other. Ceramic fabrication is not possible without diamond tools to machine, shape, grind, cut or surface finish. Since CQM and STI manufacture many of these tools in-house ECS has a distinct advantage to minimize delivery time and control quality without having to rely on outside sources. This ability to manufacture our own tools helps us to be more competitive within the subsidiaries. Having some of the worlds largest ceramic companies as customers and suppliers for many of the raw materials required by ECS with relationships that goes back to 1965, gives ECS a competitive edge.The recent expansion of our CNC division in Malaysia into a 30,000 square feet facility increased ECS' capacity many times more than passed years.
